About Lauren
Lauren Olivola is a Central Jersey-based musician currently teaching grades 4 and 5 instrumental music in public school, and is involved in various performance opportunities outside of her teaching position. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey in January 2015.
Her recent performance credits include "On the Town", "Les Miserables", "The Who's Tommy", "Into the Woods", "The Wiz", "The Mystery of Edwin Drood", "West Side Story", "The Producers", "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", "Cats", and more. She recently performed principal French horn and 4th horn solo for New Jersey City University's performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony in April 2022. She performs each summer in Asbury Park and Belmar, New Jersey with the John Luckenbill Pops Band.
Lauren is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Classical Music Performance on French horn at New Jersey City University, with her expected graduation in January 2024.
Lauren Olivola’s recital features a variety of works, including works by Reinhold Glière,Karl Pilß , and Dr. Gina Gillie.

Is there an admission fee?
This is a free concert. Lauren Olivola is a student of Professor Javier Gándara. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of degree requirements for the Master of Music in Classical Instrumental Music Performance at New Jersey City University.
Where can I park?
You can put Gilligan Student Union Building (GSUB), 2039 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07305 as the GPS address. It is best reached via exit 15E on the NJ Turnpike by US 1-9 Truck North to 440 South. Avoid the Pulaski Skyway since it will put you further away from NJCU.

Where do I go from there?
The image below shows you where Rossey Hall is as you are exiting GSUB on Floor 2. When you go in the circled door of Rossey Hall, go up one flight of stairs, go straight and then make a right, and you will find Ingalls Recital Hall. To take the elevator, you can also enter by following the bottom arrow on the road and into the door of the building on your left. Go straight down the hall and you will find the elevator, which will take you up one floor to Rossey 101.

The #2 NJTransit Bus can take you from Secaucus to Journal Square in Jersey City.
The #6 NJTransit Bus can drop you off near Ocean Avenue or Carteret Avenue, each a mile from NJCU.
The #10 NJTransit Bus can take you near McAdoo Avenue or Communipaw Avenue, each approximately a mile from NJCU.
There are also the #63, #64, #68, #80, #82, #83, #84, #86, #87, #88, and #138 routes which run through Jersey City, some which also run through Old Bridge.
